Local independent filmmaker Edwin Ramirez and his team Gallo Pinto productions took this year’s 48 Hour Film Festival by storm in Las Vegas for Grand Prize for Best Film with There’s Something in the Water. His award-winning film was nominated for 12 awards previously, and additionally took home Best Writing, Best Cinematography, and Audience Favorite. Edwin has been a local filmmaker for years now, including winning Best Sound and Best Screenplay in Spring Flicks 2022.
